Frustrated, Tired, and Still Standing

The past few days have tested me in every possible way. What started as excitement, launching a new ad campaign for my Facebook Author page, quickly spiraled into stress and confusion. Shortly after the campaign went live, I received a message through Messenger warning me that my account was in violation of Facebook’s terms and would be deleted.

Cue panic.

I scrambled to appeal. I clicked links, filled out forms, re-read Facebook’s policies, and lost sleep thinking my author page, something I’ve put time, heart, and energy into, was about to vanish. It wasn’t until several appeals that I realized the whole thing was a scam,  just a spammer using fear and urgency to push me into clicking.

I’ve changed my passwords (again, seriously, I’ve lost count) and locked down my accounts as best as I can. But the stress lingers. I’ve been exhausted, sore from tension, and honestly just frustrated. It’s not just about a scam, it’s about the emotional toll of trying to do something positive for your work and getting hit from behind.

If you’ve ever been there, you get it.

I’m sharing this not to vent, but to warn: be careful. These fake messages are getting more sophisticated. Don’t click in a rush. Slow down. Check the sender. Look up the warning from a second device before reacting.

The internet can be brutal sometimes. But we keep moving, we keep writing, and we keep learning. I'm still here, tired, but standing. And if you're dealing with digital chaos, you're not alone.
